Southeast High School Re-Roof

Bradenton, FL

145,965 Sq. Ft.

Project Details

A complete roofing system replacement across seven (7) buildings totaling 145,965 sq. ft. The new roofing system consisted of a field-welded FiberTite membrane with clad metal flashing materials. The scope also included roof drain repairs and replacements complete with associated piping, damaged roof decking, removal of old skylight curbs, addition of a new roof hatch ladder on building #6 and rooftop ladder system on building #1. The existing roofing system types varied across the seven (7) buildings. In effort to avoid delays pre-mobilization investigatory work was performed in order to identify the problematic areas early. Building 7 & 8 were in the heart of campus so measures were taken to create safe worker/student separation by creating three separate fenced compounds within a secured perimeter to protect students and faculty from hazardous construction debris. The project was performed during the summer and academic year so pre-construction coordination with the school was a critical component to maintaining schedule while working around academic operations and athletic events.
